Millions Of Peaches!

There was a lot more going on at this year’s Peach Festival in Gaffney, SC than in years past. When I went to the peach festival last time, there were no tents set up, and only half as many hot-rods as this time (which I saved for another post). Plus, there was a much bigger turn out this time around and plenty of activities for the kids.

I’ve decided to include the awesome song ‘Peaches’ for you to listen to while viewing some delicious SC peach festival pictures, enjoy!

Greenville Greek Festival Draws Crowds

I left the house without the camera this time, but you can bet I got my fill of gyros, the 2008 Greenville Greek Festival poster dolmathes (stuffed grapevine leaves), greek potatoes, and baklava.

We tried something new this time though; we had our baklava crumbled all over some vanilla ice cream. Talk about good food!

And judging by the crowd, we weren’t the only ones enjoying all the fun. Like every year, there were traditional Greek dancers, plenty of food, and several tents set up with wares for sale: everything from books, to traditional Greek clothing, religious statues, and more. On the other end of the grounds were lots of rides for kids to play on.

I can’t wait ’til next year, and I’ll be sure to remember my camera on the next trip.
