Moliere’s ‘The Miser’ Draws Large Crowds

Yesterday’s play ‘The Miserposter from Moliere's 'The Miser' put on by the Upstate Shakespeare Festival was fun in the park for more people than I’ve ever seen show up for one of Shakespeare Festival’s plays before.

The good folks at Upstate Shakespeare Festival put on a really good show, and that isn’t just from the red sangria I was enjoying either!

The funniest part though was when my wife and I went uptown for a little nightlife and ran across 2 of the actors at their real jobs: patrons of Wild Wing Cafe! I had to do a double-take, but when I went up to one of them and asked if I’d just seen him downtown with a chef’s hat on, it was confirmed!

Good job guys, not to mention the star of the show, the ol’ miser played by a female in disguise; she was obviously of star quality!

On that note, Upstate Onstage has been added to the Arts page here, a mistaken oversight gladly rectified!
