Just because your neighbor is a regular church-goer doesn’t mean they pay all their taxes.

Lyman R. Rea was just arrested by Greenville County Sheriff’s for failure to pay child support, a search that’s been going on for over 3 years in a case that originated in Missouri.

The member of the 2nd Baptist Church on East Camperdown Way has finally been caught and required to pay $37,000 before his eligibility for release in 6 months.

Curious minds want to know, so: $394,462 / 13 = $30,343.23 per child, proof that crime doesn’t pay.

I would say, “Obama’s train steamed through Greenville”, and while it was certainly steaming hot out, the ‘train’ was actually a bus. But what a nice one it was! I took a Greyhound to Fort Johnson when I joined the Navy back in the day, but it was no where near as nice as this one. Not gaudy, but you get the idea…

Anyway, several politicians took turns at the podium and in what amounted to a short pep rally to get Democrats out to register new voters, we were all actually a little thankful when it was over since it was so hot out.

So the big take away: encourage your family, neighbors, and friends to go register if they haven’t done so already, because we need to work as hard in these last 99 days as we want Obama to work for us in his first 99 days!
