Greenville County is the largest county in South Carolina. We are also proud to be home to the largest public education system in the state. With an average temperature range between 50 and 70 degrees, we are blessed with comfortably moderate weather year round. The 4.2" of average precipitation we get is enough to keep our trees green throughout most of the year, with vibrant colors arriving every Fall for nature-lovers to enjoy.
With the wonderful geography we cover (our northern edge butts up against the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains), camping, hiking, or just enjoying the great outdoors is a favorite pastime of our residents and others from miles around. We are only 3.5 to 4 hours away from the LowCountry's beaches. Some well-known metropolitan areas close to us include: Atlanta, Charlotte, Ashville, & Memphis.
